BMX EDGE now your Local dealer for Chase Elevn, Excess, Insight and Kingstar.

BMX Edge press release.

BMX Edge and BRG have joined forces to bring you Chase, Elevn, Excess, Insight and Kingstar to Australia.

The line of Chase BMX Frames are due to be on sale in Mid January. There has been a lot of anticipation of the arrival of the line of Chase BMX frames, and after show in the frames at the ABA Grands and the great performances by Team Pro Connor Fields, there has been a huge rush of demand for the line of frames. Well the wait is almost over, as the first shipment of frames arriving will be here shortly, but in our eyes, not soon enough.

Due to an unforseen complication with the in depth installation of the frame graphics and stckers, the frames that were due to arrive mid December are now looking to arrive just after the first week of 2012 in the USA. Then these new frames will need to be shipped to the dealer network.

If you are looking to get a frame, contact BMX EDGE in Australia and make sure they have yours on pre order from either WPS or QBP Distributors as they are selling fast!.

We would love to have had the frames here sooner, but we wanted to make sure they are 100% perfect for you and not rush one thing in compromise of perfection, just to have them here a few days sooner! They will for sure be worth the wait, just ask Connor!

Check out the breakdown of the frame sizes at www.bmxedge.com.au today.

Chase BMX Frame from BMX EDGE $499.00

Chase Frames feature a double butted top tube, triple butted down tube, the chain stays and seat stays both utilize a special process known as muscle forming to give them both a unique look and give added strength and stiffness to round out and create one of the lightest and stiffest BMX frames available. Chase is able to add these incredible features while remaining true to the traditional look of BMX racing while adding Chase BMX’s cutting edge racing performance.

The Hydro formed or tear drop shaped tubing that is on the RSP Frames are custom designed, radically shaped, and drawn aluminum alloy for weight savings and stiffness that help give optimal strength and rigidity to the Chase BMX frame. Hydro formed tubes have two main advantages. First, the narrow axis is a flatter surface, which can mean a lot more surface area to carry the load, like an I-beam with a wide flange, so it will be stiffer and stronger across the minor axis. Secondly, the deeper axis will be stiffer since the stiffness varies to the cube of the diameter, stronger to the square. When using an oval shaped tube on a typical BMX frame it helps reduce flex but only in one direction, but on the Chase BMX frame the tubes are oval in both directions in the main flex areas and these tubes help reduce flex in both main directions.

The offering of Chase BMX frames are available in two colors – Brilliant Black or Winning White. Chase BMX Frames utilizes a distinctive and detailed graphics design that enhances the Chase BMX proprietary tubing which further improve the details and bring you not only the best riding, but also the looking frame in BMX.

The Chase frame was designed to be the highest standard for BMX racing. We know not everyone needs this much performance in a BMX frame and the price may not be for everyone, but neither is wining.

Chase your goals, Chase your dreams, everyone who wants to win should join the Chase!

Halter Race Report – QLD State Championships 2011

Friday 23rd September

Cruiser racing

Brett Halter (OzBMXcentral GHP Team rider) was racing in the 35-39 Cruiser division today lining up with 23 other riders in this hot field.  Brett, being one of the oldest in the group, was looking to leave this class with a bang and improve on his 3Q in the wet in Mackay last year. All was looking good through the motos with Brett having a 2nd, 1st, 2nd, 2nd and setting himself up nicely for the semi finals.  He had an easy paced 2nd in the semi and on time qualified for 2nd lane pick into the final.

Brett had a great start in the final and lead for some of the first straight. Tucking in to 2nd after a loose first corner he was sitting pretty until trying a move on the second corner where he came unstuck and crashed.  That was the end of the final and a 8Q was added to the trophy cabinet.

Saturday 24th September

20” racing – 8 – 12 Year Old
Isabella (Bella) Halter (BMX EDGE Team rider) lined up today in the 9 Year Girls which had 2 full gates – 16 riders.  This was a tough field with 2 World Plate holders taking the gate.  Bella approached this race like every other race, with a big smile on her face and someone who was happy to be there!  She raced to the best of her ability each time coming away with a 7th, 7th, 8th and 6th in her motos.  Bella’s times improved by up to 3 seconds from her previous races on this track only 2 months ago, so this was a big positive for her.  As always, she represented her family and team well.

Declan (DJ) Halter (OzBMXcentral GHP Team rider) was looking to improve on his 9th position at last year’s State Championships and make the final of the 11 Year Boys.  To do this he would have to ride extremely well to mix it with the 43 riders in his class.  This meant there were 8 man quarter finals, 8 man semi finals and then hopefully the final.
Dj raced well in his motos and was mixing it with the best of them.  Confidence was high as he improved his recent times on this track by 2 seconds, from the Canetoad Classic just 2 months ago.  Coming in with a 4th, 2nd, 2nd and 3rd in his motos, DJ qualified in 2nd place for his Quarter Final.  After hearing something near the gate he went a touch early and then had to re-set himself.  DJ didn’t get the best of gates and was sitting in 3rd / 4th down the first straight.  He fought hard down the 2nd straight to get himself in a nice 4th but left the inside open for a rider to sneak under in the 2nd corner.  Coming out of the 2nd corner both riders collided and a clash of elbows saw both riders come down heavily, their race was over!

Our QLD Sprocket

Jesse O'Donnell had an absolute ball. He attended the Sprockets Coaching Clinic on Wednesday morning and Pre-titles meet on Wednesday arvo, where he finished with a 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

Friday was another awesome day and he was stoked to finish with 2x 5th, 2x 2nd and 1x 1st. A very happy boy and very proud mum, dad and little bro!

The QLD crew would like to thank OzBMXcentral, BMX Edge and all their supporters GHP, SLR Imports, Bombshell USA, Risen BMX, and Indzine Graphic Design.
